With SwissDECO, Tornos presents its vision of the future of bar turning. The SwissDECO offers a complete product range with no fewer than three machines for 36 mm bar diameter.
Equipped with three independent tool systems, SwissDECO machines are designed to provide exceptional flexibility while remaining highly user-friendly. The SwissDECO product family condenses more than 100 years of experience into a single machine. More than just a machine series, it is a true vision of the future of bar turning.
The SwissDECO G features a double platen and nine linear axes. The second platen is equipped with a Z-axis, enabling operations such as roughing/finishing, front-end operations, and deep drilling, as well as differential mode machining. The SwissDECO G consists of three independent tool systems. These can be equipped with pre-set modular tools and tool systems. Thanks to its configuration and the use of platens, this solution enables extremely fast tool change times. Available as a 36 mm machine, the SwissDECO G offers up to 38 tool positions, of which 27 can be driven tools.
The SwissDECO T is equipped with a 12-station turret head, further enhancing the machine’s exceptional flexibility. Targeting the most demanding machining operations and users, the 12 turret positions can also accommodate driven tools. Each position can be equipped with up to three tools. Also available in 36 mm diameter, the SwissDECO T offers 57 tool positions, of which 36 can be equipped with driven tools. Equipped with a high-pressure spindle cooling circuit and a high-precision hydraulic brake, the 36 mm spindle version of the SwissDECO T is designed to deliver outstanding results even on the most complex parts. The machine is optionally available with a quick-change tool system on the turret head to further increase its flexibility.
The SwissDECO can also be equipped with a B-axis on the turret head, transforming the machine into a turning/milling solution, allowing users to perform complex milling operations on a single machine. As an option, the machine can carry out machining operations using 5 simultaneous axes. As with the T version, a quick-change tool system can also be adopted. Available as a 36 mm machine, it offers up to 57 tool positions, of which 36 can be driven tools.
