The Swiss-made Tornos DT 26 is a 5-axis turning center. Both the main spindle and the counter spindle are equipped with 10.5 kW motors, capable of reaching speeds of up to 10,000 rpm. It features a modular tool configuration on both the main and counter spindles, allowing the use of thread whirling units, polygon milling units, face milling units, or, on the counter operation, a slot milling unit. The machine can also be equipped with 22 tool positions and up to eight driven tools. This unit was used as a demonstration machine and has 180 operating hours. The newly developed Tornos Swiss GT13, designed for the production of relatively complex components, is an ideal solution for subcontract manufacturers. Thanks to its ergonomic and modular design, the Swiss GT13 is an easy-to-set-up, user-friendly turning center that delivers Swiss precision and quality. Main and counter spindle speeds of up to 15,000 rpm are achieved using 5 kW asynchronous built-in spindle motors. Independent tool systems capable of holding a total of 30 machining tools enable fast and efficient production of complex parts with the smallest member of the GT family. The simple and ergonomic Swiss GT product family provides easy access to all tool positions. It is user-friendly and easy to maintain, particularly thanks to the automatic lubrication unit, the chip collection tray, and the high-capacity, removable oil tank.
The Swiss GT 32 can be equipped with up to 40 tools, including 14 driven tools. The Y-axis offers significantly enhanced machining capability and enables the production of certain complex workpieces without secondary operations.
